Love Work Family Friends Games Kids Life

So I thought I would write a blog about how different things are from when I was a kid as cliché as it sounds. I have noticed that kids these days are actually really good kids for the most part. When I was kid we had a land line phone with a cord, we sat down together and ate meals that were cooked at home, we didn't have a computer and our tv had a knob on it where you could turn the channels. The highlight on Saturdays was getting to watch music videos by Madonna. We watched MASH and 21 jump street and rode our bikes for miles. In the summer we picked peaches and helped out around a farm where our grandfather grew corn. My cousin showed me a video of when her dad was in Vietnam. I remember walked up to the Vietnam wall in Washington DC with my father. He had a paper and a pencil in his hand and gave it to me to go over the name of his cousin who died in Vietnam,
I would fold clothes with my grandma and watch soap operas. My grandmother would play rook with me and my cousins and she would always beat us. Our aunt would play the organ in church on Sundays. Now I can't imagine what kids do with all their time. There is twitter, snapchat, Instagram and facebook is for old people I have heard. In schools kids use laptops and not textbooks and they text each other during class. If we wanted to call home when I was a kid we had to go down to the office and go to the school nurse and ask if we could call home and then we may not even get anyone. We had to wait and wait and wait.
